Little Feat

Little Feat is the classic example of a fusion of many styles and musical genres made into something utterly distinctive.  Their brilliant  musicianship transcends boundaries, uniting California rock, funk, folk, jazz, country, rockabilly, and New Orleans swamp boogie into a rich gumbo, that has been leading people in joyful dance ever since.

For over 50 years Hot Tuna, Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady, have brought a wealth of emotions to their music through deep perceptions and tremendous talent.  Members of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Grammy recipients they are always injecting fresh energy into their sound with constant improvisation taking their musical horizons further.  They are going out on tour playing out west with Little Feat. Jorma and Jack will have their drummer, Justin Guip, on his "aoustic set" of drums.

The 24th Rhythm & Roots Music, Dance and Food Festival kicks off with a New Orleans party of musical styles followed by traditionalists, little-known talent, fan favorites and new interpreters of the ever-expanding definition of roots music.

Little Feat is back where it belongs, which is on a stage somewhere near you.  From the reaction of audience and critics alike, they’re back on top of the musical mountain.

When you reach the top of the mountain, the Zen saying goes, all you can do is keep climbing.

Little Feat is pleased to announce that their “Waiting for Columbus” tour, which features a complete performance of the “WFC” suite, will resume in September.

It’s fitting that Little Feat is on the road this summer as the group celebrates the upcoming 45th anniversary of Waiting For Columbus, one of the greatest live albums ever made. Released in 1978, the live double album featured memorable performances of songs (“Dixie Chicken,” “Willin’” and “Time Loves A Hero”) that spanned the group’s fantastic career. The first song from the new set, “Fat Man In The Bathtub,” recorded at The Rainbow in London, is available now.
