Madison Square Garden

As thousands scurry away from Madison Square Garden around 11 PM on Sunday, there are so many options in New York City. The city that “never sleeps” will be extra electric over the final four days of 2019. After Phish, many after-parties go on until the wee hours of the morning.

DEAD & COMPANY – Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, John Mayer, and Bob Weir, with Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti – will perform several concerts this fall on the East Coast. The shows - Thursday, October 31, & Friday, November 1, @ the world famous Madison Square Garden in New York and Friday, November 8, & Saturday, November 9, for the first time ever at Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia, follow Dead & Company’s 2019 Summer Tour, the band’s biggest yet.

Mark Knopfler is adding a performance at New York City’s famed Madison Square Garden on September 25 with special guest Bonnie Raitt to his upcoming North American tour in support of his latest critically acclaimed album, Down the Road Wherever.

Brandi Carlile will continue her extensive tour through 2019 including a special debut headline performance at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on September 14. Additional stops include Chicago’s Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island, St. Paul’s Minnesota State Fair, Philadelphia’s The Mann and Berkeley’s The Greek Theatre at UC Berkeley among others. Tickets for the newly announced shows go on-sale this Friday, February 8 at 10:00am local time. See below for complete details.

Phish’s WaterWheel Foundation and The Mimi Fishman Foundation have joined forces in an on-line charity auction.  The auction features ticket packages (one with hotel included) for Phish’s Madison Square Garden shows on the New Year run.

The auction is now available for bidding and comes to a conclusion November 15, 2018.

“Never miss a Sunday show.” This has long been word of the wise from many Phish fans when it comes to experiencing a run of shows. On top of that, the date 12/30 has always been a legendary night for the band. Walking into Madison Square Garden that Sunday night I expected to hear an entertaining show and hoped for some longer extended jams. After all, the opening two nights had overall solid set lists, but there was definitely room for more experimental jamming and improvisation.
