Particle

The Brooklyn-based four-piece features members of well-known bands including Particle, Hayley Jane & The Primates, and Turbine. Together, they form the powerhouse that is PEAK.

Many of the world’s visionaries started small, whether it be a simple idea in the basement of their childhood home, or in their local community kicking around ideas with friends and family. The truth is, creating something truly ground-breaking usually begins organically, with the creator not intending to create what it becomes. Particle is just that, a small band based out of Los Angeles, California in 2000, simply experimenting with classic electronic loops from iconic groups like Kraftwerk and applying live instrumentals that inspired them.

Fasten your seatbelt and hold on tight. Particle is back firing on all cylinders with the release of their first studio recording in 14 years, Accelerator (Release Date: September 21, 2018). During a years-long semi-hiatus, keyboardist/vocalist Steve Molitz remained busy with stints as keyboardist for Phil Lesh & Friends, Rich Robinson Band (Black Crowes) and guitarist Robby Krieger (The Doors), filling the venerable Ray Manzarek seat.

This October, seminal livetronica band, Particle, kicks off a major tour in support of their first new studio album in 14 years. The long-awaited album, Accelerator, hits outlets this September and features nine new original tracks packed with powerhouse performances and adventurous songwriting that is sure to excite both longtime fans and newcomers alike.

Catskill Chill is a music festival held towards the end of the summer music festival season. Most people are burnt out, broke, or unable to take anymore time off to attend another music festival. If you had an excuse for why you couldn’t attend this year’s Catskill Chill at New Minglewood, you won’t be making those same excuses next year after learning about their extremely successful transition to a new campground.

Since the early 2000’s Particle has been breaking down the barriers between the Jam and EDM genres to define new sounds. Out of this effort has come a new genre of music that we know as jamtronica or livetronica.

Particle is excited to announce the release of two new studio tracks in conjunction with the kick-off of their Winter Tour 2015! Both tracks have been made available for free, in both Mp3 and WAV formats, so users can stream, download and enjoy.
