I am nobody special, I come from a nobody special family in a nobody special kind of town. However, when I spent Independence Day 2011 at Electric Forest Festival, I felt special. Suddenly I was from the String Cheese Incident’s family and I lived in the Sherwood Forest!
Electric Forest, happening this July 4th weekend at Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury, Michigan, is excited to announce that 3 nights from headliners The String Cheese Incident, will be streamed live iClips.net.
Electric Forest unveils a 2-Day Ticket, a reduced rate ticket that allows access to the show on Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3. Also just released, the festival map and full performance schedule for Electric Forest 2011 – including slot times for Main Stage performers The String Cheese Incident (on Friday, July 1 and Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3,) Tiësto (on Friday July 1), Bassnectar (on Saturday, July 2), and Keller Williams (on Saturday, July 2), and others.
Much like their live shows, the electronic-improv duo EOTO (Michael Travis and Jason Hann) continue to change and morph over time. From their humble beginnings a few years ago as a basement project to the explosive club juggernaut they have become, the group has redrawn the boundaries of performing live electronic music.
Town Mountain almost rocked the building strait off the mountain side when they played at the Gold Hill Inn last night. Before the show started I spoke to some people at the bar who said they had traveled all the way from Oklahoma that day to catch Town Mountain.
