Here in LA; it’s hot! The usual May, grey days have disappeared, with summer clearly wooing us, even though we have nowhere to go. Some of my fondest memories are sticky, Sunday nights heading to Club 70’s to dance the night away in white, go-go boots with a vintage, brightly patterned miniskirt and complimenting mid-drift tee. I was only seventeen. We would pack into my VW convertible or borrow one of our dad’s fancy, mid-life crisis’ vehicles to shuttle ourselves to Hollywood. The windows were down and popular 90’s music was blaring.

Funky, upbeat and bold anthem "NAH" has arrived from Shira Elias' debut EP, GOODS. Best known as part of Brooklyn-based 9-piece funk band, Turkuaz, Elias is now venturing into a creative space all her own—one filled with honesty, self-discovery and growth. "NAH" is the first single to be released from Elias' debut EP, which drops May 29th, 2020.

Multi-instrumentalist Bobby Deitch proudly announces the upcoming release of his second full-length album entitled Work With Whatcha Got!. Deitch plans to roll out three singles, the first being the title track on Saturday, March 21, over the next several weeks, with the full album dropping Friday, May 1, 2020.

Turkuaz has shared additional headlining tour dates extending their Kuadrachrome tour into April, including an additional Jazz Fest play. The newly announced April tour dates are on sale this coming Friday at 10 AM local time via turkuazband.com/tour.

In celebration of Talking Heads' iconic 1980 record, Remain in Light, which peaked at 19 on the Billboard Top 200 upon release, Turkuaz is hitting the road with Talking Heads co-founder, Jerry Harrison, and longtime collaborator and touring guitarist, Adrian Belew, for a handful of dates this summer.

Today, Bonnaroo reveals the initial lineup for the 19th annual edition of the internationally acclaimed four-day multi-stage camping festival set to take place June 11 – 14 at Great Stage Park, the spectacular 700-acre farm and event space located just 60 miles southeast of Nashville in Manchester, TN.

Turkuaz formally welcomes their latest release, Kuadrochrome, and the 4-song EP is now available on all major DSPs: smarturl.it/TZKuad. Recorded at Galaxy Smith Studios and produced by guitarist/vocalist, Dave Brandwein, Kuadrochrome signifies the beginning of a refreshed and cohesive era for the band.

A great movie can act as a time capsule, documenting a specific era in time to relive, revisit and enjoy in the days to come, and that's essentially what Turkuaz did in late 2018 while filming a live performance, which was promised to be released as a film at a later date.

Last year's release of Life In The City characterized a new era for the Brooklyn-based nonet, Turkuaz. Since the record's release last September, the band has been touring nationally non-stop, building a grassroots, but rabid following, and bringing their infectious blend of funk, alternative rock, R&B and psychedelia to listeners far and wide. 

The Werk Out Festival has announced its daily lineup schedule for August 1st-August 3rd, 2019. In its 10th year founded and curated by The Werks, this year presents the most robust lineup yet with Big Gigantic, STS9, The Claypool Lennon Delirium, Steel Pulse, The Floozies, Twiddle, Matisyahu, and more rounding out the genre-spanning lineup handpicked by the festival’s namesake band. In addition, the festival has announced single-day tickets available for the first time in their history.
