The 6th annual Spread The Word Festival, showcased some of Colorado’s most diverse and eclectic talent, spanning from ferociously fast picking and heavy-hitting bass decibels, to smooth funky jams and everything in between. Spread across five stages, Denver’s Fox Street Compound morphed into a psychedelic playground for fans to enjoy artists, food trucks and tunes galore.
2018’s rendition of WinterWonderGrass lived up to its designation in every sense of the word this past weekend, as bluegrass fans from around the country gathered in majestic Steamboat Springs, Colorado to dance, drink and smiled the night away beneath the magnificent Park Range. The weekend more than lived up to expectation and hype, with incredible bluebird days and epic snow-covered nights, providing world-class skiing throughout the weekend and top-notch bluegrass to cap the night activities.
Grateful Bluegrass Boys is a string band that plays traditional Bluegrass versions of Classic Rock favorites from bands such as the Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, The Eagles, Rolling Stones and more. These songs, combined with classic Bluegrass and Country tunes, consistently have audiences singing and dancing along the whole show.
Meeting on the Mountain LIVE, a collaborative, live broadcast experience, closes their second season of shows on Thursday, Dec. 1. With Grant Farm as house band and Tyler Grant as host, each broadcast event includes performances and interviews with each featured act.

The Fox Theater in Boulder has started a Tuesday night bluegrass tradition. On this evening, after the extremely talented and quickly emerging Caribou Mountain Collective, a bluegrass all-star cast graced the stage to honor an important player in the bluegrass world. John Hartford is probably one the most underrated bluegrass musician ever.

The last day of Rhythms on the Rio 2015 was clear and sunny—and really quite pleasant temperature-wise. The day’s event began as Saturday’s did with YogaDurango offering an hour all-levels yoga class for festivalgoers. This free class was well attended by about twenty, very obvious advanced yoga practitioners yesterday, who were stretched out on the grass and under canopies. Today’s participants were fewer. But yoga seemed to set a tone for a laid back kind of day today, though the music was definitely hot.
On Sunday August 30, BeeJeeCo. Events is throwing an end of summer celebration at Denver’s favorite dog friendly bar – The Watering Bowl – at 5411 Leetsdale Dr. In Denver, CO. The Watering Bowl has a great indoor concert space including 3 bars and a 7800 square foot dog friendly patio. Dog Days of Summer Bluegrass Festival is an all-day affair focusing on the celebration of music, art, the local community, and most importantly our four-legged friends.
