The Ain’t Sisters are proud to announce the release of their second full-length album, Atomic. The highly anticipated record officially dropped on March 29, accompanied by a major hometown album release show at Terminal West in Atlanta. The band celebrated with support from Josh Roberts and the Hinges and Danielle Howle. Atomic is now available in a first-ever double-vinyl format—a testament to The Ain’t Sisters’ dynamic sound and the depth of their thought-provoking lyrics.

In a statement regarding the album, band members Arrie Bozeman and Barb Carbon expressed the creative vision behind Atomic:

“If we’ve succeeded in our objective, we have created the soundtrack to the endlessly unfolding apocalypse. Equal parts tortured and absurd, the songs and frequent interludes that comprise this epic double vinyl album are meant to deliver catharsis and reassurance that we are all feeling the weight of the world in its current state.

What’s the normal run time of an existential crisis? Ten years? What’s the best way to cope with a decade of dread? Humor? We started working on this album during the 2020 shutdown, but some of the tunes have existed for a decade or more. My first favorite Barb song has morphed into a cinematic masterpiece, and my fifth dumbest tune has grown into the unofficial slogan/merchandising anomaly. I’ve become a video editor. A once-unfinished idea has turned into a heavy, dreamy soundscape I never could have imagined. I’m so grateful for the musicians who have brought these songs to life. Dragonsong Productions has brought our vision to fruition and helped us create a concept album which we hope will highlight our shared Human Experience as we enter the throes of World War III and do our best to cope with the price of eggs.”
