The Ain't Sisters Release New Single "Beyond the Blue" Ahead of Hulaween Debut

The Ain't Sisters are set to release their newest single, "Beyond the Blue," as they prepare to perform at their first Hulaween festival. Catch them live on Sunday, October 27th, performing on the same stage prior to Bobby Weir and The String Cheese Incident.

The new single drops on October 25th and will be available on all streaming platforms. You can pre-save the single here, or experience it live at Hulaween. Produced and engineered by Adam Horwitz in his Tampa, FL, home studio and mastered by Andy Lytle, sound engineer for Billy Strings, "Beyond the Blue" was written by Barb Carbon of The Ain't Sisters. It's a heartfelt song born from the grief of losing friends too soon.

In Barb's own words:

“We had recently lost several other friends and fellow musicians. As I sat alone with my guitar, I thought about all the ways people fall away from this physical experience. I contemplated what it feels like to be so engulfed in grief that it seems the only way to deal with the pain is to join them. But then I reconsidered, realizing that such pain radiates out in powerful waves. The strongest thing I could think to do was to write this song that encapsulated my feelings of grief and despair—a song that would, hopefully, act as a salve to allow catharsis and relieve some of the pain.

"Our good friend Adam heard it somewhere along the way. A few weeks before his birthday, he called me and asked if I would come down and let him record 'Beyond the Blue' in his home studio as his birthday present. I was beyond honored.”

This is the first of many new singles coming from The Ain't Sisters. They are working on a brand-new album set to release early next year. While "Beyond the Blue" won't be on the album, more information about the release is coming soon. Although this may be the Aints' first Hula, they are no strangers to Suwannee Roots. They've played multiple times at Roots and are excited for their Hulaween debut.

About The Ain't Sisters

The Ain't Sisters deliver fun, eclectic folk rock. Fronted by the deliciously androgynous duo of Arrie Bozeman and Barb Carbon, the Aints provide high-energy performances of their wildly diverse original music. They are joined by the hardest-working men in rock 'n' roll: Richie Jones on drums and Justin Boudreau, aka BooDreamy, on bass—both masterfully holding down the rhythm section and making everyone swoon with their gorgeous licks. Think Indigo Girls meets Dream Theater with a little Birdcloud in the mix.

If ya ain't sisters, what are ya?
