Bobby Long's European "Renegade" Tour

British singer-songwriter Bobby Long will return to Europe for his month-long "Renegade" concert tour beginning May 16, 2017 in Stuttgart, Germany. Known for his hauntingly poetic lyrics, the New York-based musician just surpassed the halfway point on his PledgeMusic campaign to fund what will be his fourth album after only three weeks and will publish his second collection of poetry in early December. Support on the "Renegade" tour will be British musician Sam Bradley, who toured Europe with Long this past April. The 17-city tour will take the pair to cities in Germany, Austria, Czech Republic and the Netherlands.

Long is currently writing material for his next album project which he plans to record early in the new year. His PledgeMusic campaign (www.pledgemusic.com/bobbylong) allows for that new album to be pre-ordered in physical or digital form as well as a full array of exclusive apparel, hand-written lyric and poem sheets, special recordings, guitar lessons, songwriting consultations and private house concerts. In an innovative roll-out, his new collection of poetry called Losing My Misery is being offered exclusively for pre-order during the Pledge campaign, accompanied by a laminated two-sided bookmark and an mp3 recording of Long reading selections from the book and talking about some of the poems specifically. This package will only be available via the PledgeMusic campaign, and the book on its own will become available at retail in December.

Long, who emerged from London's burgeoning folk music renaissance, relocated to New York in 2009, cultivating a loyal fan base for his evocative lyrics set to affecting melodies. His current album, ODE TO THINKING, was released last summer to critical acclaim by Nashville-based Compass Records, followed early this year by the vinyl release ODE, comprising six tracks from ODE TO THINKING and three previously unreleased tracks. His catalogue also includes two other well received albums, A WINTER TALE (2011) and WISHBONE (2013), as well as a five-song EP called THE BACKING SINGER (2011) and another volume of poetry, LOSING MY BROTHERHOOD (2012).
