Tickets are on sale now for this year’s ROCK FOR RONNIE Concert in the Park, benefiting the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund (www.diocancerfund.org), taking place on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on the South Lawn adjacent to the Autry Museum of the West in Griffith Park. This annual afternoon of live rock music, silent and live auctions, food trucks, and family-friendly fun celebrates the memory of the late singer Ronnie James Dio, who succumbed to gastric cancer in 2010. Entrepreneur, author, and producer Ahmet Zappa will host this year’s event.
Headlining the 2025 ROCK FOR RONNIE will be actor and heavy metal singer Sebastian Bach and his band. Additional performers include Dio Disciples, southern rock artist Jason Charles Miller, hard rock band Kill Devil Hill, and Count’s 77—the Las Vegas-based band led by Danny Coker of the History Channel’s Counting Cars. The day will conclude with an All-Stars Band jam, featuring top-tier rock musicians who have participated in past years, such as Doug Aldrich, Steven Adler, Chris Broderick, Phil Demmel, Dave Grohl, Adrian Vandenberg, Ricky Warwick, and Brian Tichy. Local band Anita Squeeze will open the afternoon of live music.

The newly designated location at the park adjacent to the Autry Museum provides a scenic outdoor venue with ample free parking. In addition to exciting live music, silent and live auctions will offer one-of-a-kind rock collectibles and other items, and an array of vendor booths will feature crafts, merchandise, and more. Food and beverage options will include beer, wine, sodas, water, and food truck fare. Contributing sponsors already include Archie’s Ice Cream, Liquid Death, Marquis, Celsius, and HOP WTR.

About the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund
The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund was founded in memory of legendary singer Ronnie James Dio, who lost his life to gastric cancer in 2010. A privately funded 501(c)(3) public charity, the Dio Cancer Fund has raised over $2 million since its inception. Funds have been committed to the T. J. Martell Foundation for Cancer, AIDS and Leukemia Research, the gastric cancer research unit at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston (where Dio was treated), and other cancer research projects. Since 2016, the Dio Cancer Fund has supported the work of Dr. David Wong and his team at the UCLA School of Dentistry in developing a non-invasive saliva test for the early detection of cancer.
One hundred percent of the net proceeds from ROCK FOR RONNIE will benefit the Dio Cancer Fund as it continues its mission of raising awareness and much-needed funding for cancer prevention, education, and research for a cure. The organization also hosts the annual Bowl for Ronnie Celebrity Bowling Party in November.
