Celebrated psychedelic funk quartet, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong is thrilled to announce that dynamic jam/reggae sensation Mihali will be joining them for an electrifying New Year’s Eve show in Pittsburgh, PA. This eagerly awaited event will see Mihali and his live band take the stage at Stage AE on December 31st, adding an extra layer of excitement to the festivities ushering in 2025.
The New Year’s Eve run kicks off on December 30th with an intimate performance at Mr. Smalls Theatre, where Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will treat fans to an "Evening with Pigeons Playing Ping Pong." The following night promises to elevate the experience as the Mihali Live Band joins the lineup. Known for his captivating performances and musical versatility, Mihali is poised to deliver a set of high-octane musical exploration.
Mihali, the former frontman of the revered Vermont jam band Twiddle, has had a remarkable year. His recent single "Free Ride" has been making waves, and he has graced stages across the nation during a busy 2024 filled with solo shows and notable festival appearances. Most recently, Mihali spent several weeks touring alongside the funky Philadelphia outfit G. Love and Special Sauce.
The history between Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Mihali is storied, with past collaborations echoing their shared love for improvisation and sonic adventure. This New Year’s Eve promises to be a celebration of this long standing musical camaraderie.
