Andy Hall, dobro and vocalist for the GRAMMY-award winning bluegrass band the Infamous Stringdusters, has released his new solo album, A Universe Within, on Americana Vibes.
A Universe Within takes a turn away from Andy’s traditional bluegrass sound, and moves into the ambient and New Age realm; creating a space to reflect, and to feel things in a more quiet, peaceful way. The album is an offering to lead into a calm, relaxing space.
“Ambient and New Age music has always been healing for me,” shared Andy. “The space it creates, and the quiet colors it paints calms my nervous system, but still equally excites my senses. All of these songs are straight from the ether and into your ears.”
Part dobro album, and part New Age, A Universe Within combines some of Andy’s favorite sounds and styles into one dreamy musical journey. This is your wake-up-on-Sunday and pick up a cup of coffee vibe, that we’re all looking for.

Andy was most recently nominated for Resophonic Guitar Player of the Year at the 2021 International Bluegrass Music Association Awards. He has shared the stage and recorded with a wide range of artists including Dolly Parton, Wynona, Emmylou Harris, Earl Scruggs, Ryan Adams, Zack Brown, Charlie Daniels, Jack Black, Rodney Crowell and many others.
