GRAMMY-nominated band Common Kings have released their brand new single "Raggamuffin" via tastemaker label Mensch House Records. The song's instantly contagious chorus of “Be the one that she needs raggamuffin, be the air that she breathe…” adds some breezy roots reggae riddims to Common Kings addictive sound.
"Our new song 'Raggamuffin' is the ultimate feel-good song. Once you hear it, you can’t help but vibe to it," commented Common Kings guitarist Taumata Grey. “This track was created from a ‘riddim’ that our good friends Young Pow and Veer produced. They're amazing producers that work with artists like Damian Marley, Stephen Marley and many other Jamaican reggae royalty. They hit us up, sent the riddim, and asked if we'd be down to jump on, and the rest was history,” he adds. “Raggamuffin” sets the tone for an exciting full-length album from the Kings in 2023.
Common Kings have also just announced a string of tour dates throughout Hawaii with Steel Pulse and Eli-Mac as support. The dates will see Common Kings headline some of their biggest shows across the Island, and will also feature special guests Dinah Jane (of Fifth Harmony) and Marc Bassy.
Common Kings continue to ride a wave of success with their recent singles "Damn Good Time", "Islands To Nashville", "California Day" featuring Shwayze, and "Queen Majesty" featuring Billboard chart-topper Sammy Johnson & Reggae superstars The Green, all going viral to the tune of millions of plays. “Raggamuffin” also rides on the heels of the Kings’ 2021 live album – ‘Live At Humphrey's’ – which perfectly captures a moment in time showcasing Common Kings’ growing achievements as a live band.
Reggae fans will not want to miss Common Kings’ upcoming tour dates across Hawaii, Oregon, and California, and “Raggamuffin” is the perfect track to get their passionate fanbase excited.
