GRAMMY-nominated drummer, songwriter, composer, and producer Adam Deitch has shared the next single off his forthcoming studio album ‘TAKE YOUR TIME’ due out April 7th, 2023 via his own label Golden Wolf Records in partnership with Regime Music Group.
“Turn Us Around” is a drum-forward, hip-hop leaning tune that features soulfully gritty electronic production. “To me, ‘Turn Us Around’ means to turn this human race in the RIGHT direction and away from ignorance and division,” Adam shares. Using a sound bite from a bootleg Lettuce show, Deitch laces vocals from bandmate Nigel Hall throughout the track– “he’s my favorite singer on earth,” he adds.

Deitch will bring his beats to Meow Wolf in Denver, CO on April 8th, 2023 to celebrate the release of the album, with ETHNO (Jeff Franca of Thievery Corporation) & The Parrisian (Harry Styles, The TMRW Ppl) set to open the show. Tickets are on sale now and available to purchase HERE.
Produced by Deitch and mastered by Chris Karns (of Pretty Lights), ‘TAKE YOUR TIME’ was inspired in part by the musical output of Adam’s peers throughout the pandemic:
“Enter the Quarantine era, and all of my awesome musician friends were expressing themselves on Instagram. Amazing pianists like world-renowned Jason Moran, synth wizard Shaun Martin, and many more were posting musical gems on their respective accounts. The idea came to me that THIS was the new proverbial ‘record bin’ I could mine. The concept for TAKE YOUR TIME was born.”
Adam Deitch was born and raised in Nyack, NY, and currently resides in Denver, CO. He’s a founding member of future-funk band Lettuce, half of electro-soul duo Break Science, longtime foil to GRAMMY-winning jazz guitarist and Miles Davis alum John Scofield, leader of his groove-jazz project The Adam Deitch Quartet, alongside a slew of other projects. Deitch is also an in-demand electronic and hip-hop producer, working alongside industry titans like Pretty Lights and 50 Cent.
Deitch’s resume includes landing production placements on major label releases from Redman, Talib Kweli, 50Cent, Pharoahe Monch, and MF Doom. He has also recorded sessions for releases by Justin Timberlake, Wyclef Jean/The Fugees, DJ Quik, and toured with Meshell Ndegeocello. Deitch has appeared in producer Pretty Lights’ all-star ensemble the Analog Future Band (2012/2013) and contributed to his 2012 Grammy winning LP A Color Map of the Sun.
This new record is sure to delight existing fans of Adam’s myriad of musical projects, and new electronic listeners alike. The vinyl along with new exclusive merch is available now for pre-order HERE.
