NJ based blues rockers, Billy Walton Band today released their first single, “Can’t Love No One” from their upcoming LP Dark Hour, due out later in 2020. “Can’t Love No One” along with the album are being released through Harmonized Records. Dark Hour was engineered by Grammy-nominated engineer Jim Salamone at Cambridge Sound Studio.
Effortlessly cool, the new track seamlessly blends elements of rock, blues, and funk, creating a danceable and jamming song with lead singer Billy Walton looking back on a failed relationship.
As Walton tells Grateful Web, “I’ve heard countless songs of heartbreak...missing someone and the trauma of being left. I wanted to switch it up, writing from the perspective of the person that is leaving… and giving clarity and closure to the one with the broken heart.
Lead singer Billy Walton is not only an accomplished guitar master hailing from the iconic New Jersey Shore music scene, he earned his stripes in the rock & roll trenches, playing lead guitar for many years with Jersey legend, Southside Johnny. He has also shared the stage with E Street’s Steven Van Zandt, Aerosmith icon, Steven Tyler, and Gary US Bonds to name a few.
The Billy Walton Band, growing out of this rich musical heritage, found its groove when they connected with bassist William Paris, Tom Petraccaro on sax and Eric Safka on Hammond B3, They have also proven their mettle with the fertile British Blues scene, touring multiple times to sold-out audiences across Europe. Here in the United States as well with touring, they have cultivated dedicated fans who are always hungry for their live shows.
During the pandemic, and in the absence of being able to tour, The Billy Walton Band is keeping their fans happy with the release of new music and soon to be announced live streams.
