Chicago based band Henhouse Prowlers release their fourth single, "My Last Run" from their album Lead and Iron, set to release in on September 15th.
“My first tour with the Henhouse Prowlers took us on a six week tour overseas.", shares Chris Dollar, who joined the band in 2018. "It was the farthest I’d ever been from home and the longest my wife and I had ever been apart. It still holds that record too. Wherever the gig, there is always a long stretch of highway between us which inspired this song.”
Dollar, who is one of the main songwriters for the band, adds: “Traveling is a wonderful thing we get to do, but coming home is the best feeling. My family, the endless highway, and my Bloomington home are responsible for this tune.”
Producer Stephen Mougin says: “The band had a ton of fun with this feisty number, opening with a blazing call/response motif from the guitar and mandolin. The energy is infectious and true to form from a band that spends a LOT of time touring and playing music together.”
