Paul Conversano, known to his global fanbase as RAVENSCOON, has unveiled the first installment of his ambitious concept album, Periphery. Titled BODY, this EP releases on August 22nd, 2023, and gives listeners a tantalizing taste of what's to come from the forthcoming releases.
Introducing the LP with “Boundary,” a chorus of strumming staccatos and neural sensory-stimulating synthesizers, the track seamlessly transitions into the next, raising the energy to classify as a sound system based dubstep collaboration with Seeka. “Breathe,” encapsulated in almost fleeting whispers amongst the shelling basslines, draws the listener deeper into the experience.
Over the course of the following three tracks, including the focus track “GO!” (featuring Killa P and Al Kapone), “Wild,” a ground-shaking collaboration with labelmate Sully, and “Melt” with AshEL Seasunz, RAVENSCOON holds nothing back. This chapter of the LP is centered around complete awareness of the physical sensations from bass music. It's almost as if one can recognize the pounding pulsations as the heart rate increases. The adept producer has abundantly relayed this message through sound in "BODY."

“Periphery is my reflection on what it means to be, what it means to be alive, the experience of being separated from your human body and sent all the way to the edge of perception & back again. I’ve included some dance-floor bangers, but I’ve also spent at least half of the album exploring long, luscious, melodic bass. I wanted to create songs that make you think.
BODY is the exploration of music that makes your whole physical being want to MOVE and dance - songs you can feel in your chest, that vibrate your eyeballs and make your face melt.
BODY is a statement - Periphery is HERE, it assails your senses and encompasses you wholly. I started the album like I start my sets, with massive energy before winding down a psychedelic tunnel into the depths of your mind.
GO! is a perfect embodiment of this, it unfurls quietly into the intro, and from there the energy doesn’t stop until the very end, massive throwback drumstep energy complimented by engaging vocals from Killa P & Al Kapone.”
