Before or after strolling through Shakedown attendees are encouraged to relax in the air-conditioned Piazza Lounge and enjoy tunes from some of Vegas' best Jam Bands, starting at noon every show day! & Then come back after the concert for our Shakedown After Dark Series. Message from Eric Torrez BADD JUJU; "We usually do house parties but we recently did a corporate gig for Harley Davidson and a Grand Opening show for a local music school. We also held one of our own Open Mic / Jams at the American Legion. Taverna was our first big gig, But individually, we are all working musicians, and we play all around the valley for multiple events. The drummer tours around the country with another act, the guitarist plays with a bunch of rappers and an Elvis impersonator, the bassist is in two other projects and is a house musician at a local theater company, and the keyboard is a multi instrumentalist and a house musician at Vic's.

ALSO THIS WEEKEND! Live Music Photographer BOB MINKIN will be joining us on Shakedown! Bob will giving a presentation each day “My Life Photographing The Dead” upstairs in the Firenze room at 2pm July 4th , 5th & 6th
In addition, Bob and Photographer Josh Hitchins photo exhibit will be featured upstairs in the Pisa room and both will be on site for most of the weekend to talk about photos and Dead stories.

South African-born and United States-raised guitarist Ari Joshua is set to mesmerize audiences with an ambitious project in 2024: releasing 24 new songs throughout the year. Drawing from a vast archive of recordings and embracing a prolific and innovative spirit, Ari is continually crafting new collaborations. This spring, he embarked on a recording project with Ben Atkind and Kris Yunker of Goose. His upcoming release, "Tagine," features the talents of keyboardist Marco Benevento and drummer Joe Russo. Additional 2024 releases will showcase collaborations with organist Delvon Lamarr, saxophonist Skerik, members of the Trey Anastasio Band and Soule Monde, drummer Billy Martin, and keyboardist John Medeski of Medeski, Martin & Wood, as well as John Kimock, Andy Hess, and Eden Ladin.
Over the past decade, Ari has proven himself equally at home shredding with his rock band Big High, which featured Mad Season and Screaming Trees drummer Barrett Martin and R.E.M.'s Peter Buck, or laying down soulful improvisations with jazz ensembles. Ari Joshua continues to push musical boundaries, spreading love and unity through every note. Ari Joshua and friends will play both Friday & Saturday July 5 & 6 starting at 11:30pm in The Copa room at Tuscany Suites Hotel, 255 E Flamingo Rd, LV, NV
DRUM CIRCLES are scheduled for this weekend at 1pm on both Fri and Sat July 5 and 6. Headed by local Percussionist and "Drum Circle Facilitator" Jeffrey Trower. These performances have proven memorable and are some of the best moments on Shakedown!
SHAKEDOWN VEGAS WILL EXTEND THROUGH AUGUST! Added shows means added Shakedown Dates! Shakedown Vegas will be held at 11am - 7pm every show day at The Tuscany Suites And Casino until the Dead & Company residency ends!
