Sierra Ferrell Makes Her Stunning Return to Stagecoach Festival

This past weekend, Sierra Ferrell made her stunning return to Stagecoach Festival, performing across multiple stages with several special guests, as she reaffirmed her reign as "the May Queen of American roots music" (NPR Music). On Friday evening, she and her band delivered a remarkable revue of standouts from her latest album, Trail of Flowers, following Ferrell's clean sweep of four wins at the 2025 GRAMMY® Awards. During one of the set's highlights, she welcomed Nikki Lane for the live debut of their reimagined, harmony-laden take on Dottie West's classic "A Lesson In Leavin'" (popularized by Jo Dee Messina), which is available now as an Amazon Music Original.

"I picked to cover A Lesson In Leavin' because frankly it's a good message and it's real fun to sing with one of your best friends," says Sierra Ferrell. "Nikki Lane is a close buddy so it was a no-brainer to ask her to join me on this empowering lil tune."

Later on Friday, Sierra Ferrell joined her collaborator and superfan, Diplo, for a suite of songs during his afterparty at Zenyara, before making a surprise appearance at her friend Shaboozey's main stage performance on Saturday evening. The two of them premiered a new duet called "Hail Mary," also released on Friday, April 25th, as part of Shaboozey's deluxe album, Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going: The Complete Edition.

Having taken home trophies for Best Americana Album (Trail of Flowers), Best Americana Performance ("American Dreaming"), Best American Roots Song ("American Dreaming") and Best American Roots Performance ("Lighthouse"), Sierra Ferrell emerged as the genre's biggest GRAMMY®-winner of 2025, but this spring, she continues to prove why she is "one of country and roots music's most fascinating and fastest-rising artists" (Rolling Stone). With 65 tour dates on the horizon, Stagecoach marks the start of an even more momentous year ahead, including a stadium run with Post Malone and Jelly Roll, US and UK arena shows with Mumford & Sons, a slew of festival appearances at Lollapalooza, Hinterland, Railbird and more, as well as dozens of headline performances, from her long sold-out debut at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, to NYC's Pier 17 and beyond.
