Dark Horse Flyer is the band that wrote and performed “Soldier’s Song,” the third track on a project called Troubleshooting Pandora’s Box; the song is its first charity track. “Soldier’s Song” is being released to raise money for World Central Kitchen, who are getting food to the people of Ukraine.
The single can only be heard and or purchased on bandcamp https://troubleshootingpandorasbox.bandcamp.com/track/soldiers-song-featuring-dark-horse-flyer
The song and was written © 2022 Don Mularz and Richard Taylor (BMI). Dark Horse Flyer is Don Mularz (guitar and vocals), Richard Taylor (fretless bass), Raul Hernandez (Cajon), Bob Taylor (organ), John Tillman (guitar solo(, and Scott Lane (guitar).
Troubleshooting Pandora’s Box is a musical project masterminded by Nick Katona, who also runs Melodic Revolution Records, the label releasing the song.
Nick Katona says, “The idea for this project came about 20 + years ago, not long after the dawn of the internet age. I wanted to use this project to address the many issues that have come to light.”
“Soldier’s Song” is an exploration into what lies behind beauty, sometimes it is evil and corrupt. These concepts will provide a lush platform for rich storytelling lending insight to our modern age with a focus on how to make our lives and world better. This is not a project by a regular assembled band, but from a collaboration of artists, whose styles, backgrounds, and interpretation through their cultural lens provide a beautiful tapestry of melodies and hooks with lyrics that—Nick believes--resonates with everyone.
All profits raised by the sales are to be donated to World Central Kitchen. “Soldier’s Song” was written by Don Mularz and Richard Taylor and performed by Dark Horse Flyer.
Don Mularz says the song is “inspired by the bravery of our fathers and uncles who went in harm’s way for the love of family and country, much like every man or woman that leaves a loved one behind to fight for their country. They hope they will come home and that special someone will still be waiting for them.” Adds Nick, “Just like the brave men and women in Ukraine are doing.”
“Soldier's Song” was recorded live at the band’s Florida rehearsal studio, the Hanger, with one mic and one take. The song was originally released as a music video and posted on social media ever.

SOLDIER'S SONG
Do you still see me
I'm right here beside you, as I have been since the day we first met
Do you still feel me
I'm right here inside you, you inside me since the day we first met
The way that I still think of you
is how I hope you see me too
you're everything I wanted you to be and even if I'm far away
you know you're in my heart to stay but are you waiting there for me?
Solo
The way that I still think of you
is how I hope you see me too
you're everything I wanted you to be and even if I'm far away
you know you're in my heart to stay but are you waiting there for me?
Do you still love me
my heart beats with your heart, love forever since the day that I first met you
since the day
we first met
