Solid Sound has revealed its comedy lineup via a video announcement from comedian John Hodgman for this year’s festival, which takes place at MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA June 23-25. Hosted by Hodgman in production with Pretty Good Friends, the always-popular comedy stage will feature three distinct sets Saturday from MASS MoCA’s Hunter Center.
Joining Hodgman are Michael Ian Black (Wet Hot American Summer), Eugene Mirman (Bob’s Burgers), Aparna Nancherla (Late Night with Seth Meyers), Nick Offerman (Parks & Recreation), plus Jean Grae's The Show Show with DJ Quelle Chris.
Comedy complements the previously-announced musical lineup of this year’s festival that features two headlining sets by Wilco plus performances by Television, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Robert Glasper Experiment, Dawn of Midi, Dave Alvin and Phil Alvin with the Guilty Ones, Kevin Morby, Joan Shelley, Big Thief, Peter Wolf & the Midnight Travelers, Deep Sea Diver, Andy Shauf, Alloy Orchestra, Idris Ackamoor and the Pyramids, Kacy & Clayton, Daniel Bachman, Nancy and Beth, Jeff Parker Trio, The Shaggs, and Max Hatt & Edda Glass. Wilco member’s side projects including Tweedy, The Autumn Defense, On Fillmore, The Nels Cline Four and Quindar will also perform.
Three-day tickets, which include all music, comedy, kids and auxiliary programming plus entrance to all the MASS MoCA galleries, are available now at solidsoundfestival.com for $159. Tickets for children ages six to 10 are $50 and children under six are admitted free.
