Old Settler’s Music Festival returns for its 38th year from April 24-27, 2025, promising another unforgettable weekend of music, community, and camping just 45 minutes south of Austin in Dale, Texas. A cherished tradition in the heart of Central Texas, the festival continues to celebrate the best in Americana, roots, and bluegrass with an incredible lineup of national touring artists, engaging workshops, family-friendly fun, and its signature campground camaraderie.
This year’s headliners include crowd favorites Wild Child, Watchhouse, The Devil Makes Three, and Sierra Hull, joined by a powerhouse roster featuring The Travelin’ McCourys, Heartless Bastards, Darrell Scott, Sister Sadie, Yonder Mountain String Band, Jeff Plankenhorn, Grace Rowland, and more. Festivalgoers can explore a full weekend schedule spanning four days across multiple stages, including a lively open mic night on Wednesday, April 23, and early performances kicking off Thursday afternoon.
Old Settler’s is designed with families in mind, offering a host of youth activities including face painting, yoga, bubbles, and the much-anticipated Youth Talent Competition, where musicians 18 and under vie for a $300 cash prize and a coveted slot at the 2026 festival. Morning yoga, instrument workshops, and songwriting sessions with acclaimed artists like Tim O’Brien, Jan Fabricus, and Kym Warner provide opportunities for attendees of all ages to connect more deeply with the music.
Camping remains a beloved part of the Old Settler’s experience, with beautifully maintained, tree-covered sites in Banjo, Collings, and Dobro campgrounds available for tents, RVs, and everything in between. A new addition for 2025, Camp Dobro East, sponsored by Camphost, offers Amp access and prime proximity to the festival grounds—ideal for big rigs and those looking to stay close to the action. At night, the grounds come alive with spontaneous campfire jams and late-night picking circles that embody the festival’s spirit of inclusivity and collaboration.
Single-day general admission starts at $79, and kids 12 and under can attend for just $5, making Old Settler’s an affordable and accessible option for music lovers and families alike. Tickets, the full schedule, and more information are available now at www.oldsettlersmusicfest.org.
