Katie Henry is pleased to announce the January 28th release of On My Way via indie blues giant, Ruf Records.

Leading up to the new release was Henry's 2018 debut, the Blues Blast and IBMA-nominated. High Road. What followed was a starburst of media acclaim, including Henry Yates of Classic Rock, NME, and The Guardian, saluted "a runaway talent you need to keep up with."

Singer-songwriter Jim Keaveny could be a character out of a Mark Twain novel, born on the Missouri River before traveling through the country with a railroader's restlessness. Ostensibly, he's settled in the hard yet beautiful Texas desert where he lives off-the-grid in a house he built with his bare hands, surviving on rainwater he can't waste, but his picaresque lifestyle still takes him around the world.

Blue Bear School of Music, San Francisco’s preeminent school for rock, blues, jazz, folk, and pop, celebrates its 50th anniversary this fall. A home for aspiring musicians of all ages and skill levels, the nonprofit organization makes music education accessible to all-- guided by the firm belief that making music benefits individuals and their communities.

Vermont Jazz Center pays homage to the big band era this season, uniting our in-house big band with critically acclaimed singer Amanda Carr. Carr became acquainted with the Great American Songbook through her parents who were both professional big band musicians in the Boston area. Carr has recorded in the U.S. and abroad, including Australia, England and Italy where she appeared as a headline artist at EuroJazz Festival.

Grant Dermody & Fotusky are pleased to announce the January 14, 2022 release of Digging in John's Backyard. Dermody, a modern master of the blues harmonica, and guitarist Fotusky, one of the premier acoustic blues guitar stylists in the nation, have finally joined forces to record the album inspired by their shared connection to the late John Jackson, the Virginia bred country blues guitarist and master of the Piedmont style who gave up in 1949, only to be "rediscovered" in the 1960's.

"I like sad songs," says Canadian songwriter B. Knox, whose second studio album — the tellingly titled Far From Folk — blends cosmic Americana, left-field honky tonk, rugged country-rock, and woozy roots music into its own melancholic mix. Far From Folk roots itself in the modern struggles we all endure, replete with vignettes about romance, estrangement, and the long journey toward hope. There are sad songs here, to be sure, but there's also an overarching sense of optimism, with B.
