Shout out to the Vibe Tribe out there for Dylan Muhlberg. This year I have the distinct pleasure of covering the 17th annual Gathering of the Vibes festival, which is celebrating its eighth year in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Bridgeport is a diverse city on the Connecticut shoreline off of the Long Island Sound. The venue, Seaside Park, has hosted the Gathering all these years and by all counts is an incredible site.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will host a weekend of events surrounding the Museum’s special exhibit devoted to Grateful Dead powered by McIntosh.

When the Grateful Dead left Warner Bros. to form their own label in 1973, after six years and eight albums, they delivered their first live "best-of" anthology, HISTORY OF THE GRATEFUL DEAD VOL. 1 (BEAR'S CHOICE). The album, which will be reissued by Audio Fidelity on July 10 on 180-gram virgin vinyl, documents the band's February 13-14, 1970 stand at New York's Fillmore East as recorded by Dead sound manager (and creator of 'Owsley' LSD) Owsley "Bear" Stanley.

In all of the years that archival Grateful Dead recordings have been coming out, there have been only two from the red-hot fall of 1971, Keith Godchaux's landmark first tour with the band. Now there is a third. Dave's Picks Volume 3 features the complete October 22, 1971 concert from the beautiful Auditorium Theatre in Chicago on two discs, with a third disc culled from the previous night's scorcher at the same venue.

Hancock, NY is a quaint town in the Catskills with little other than a bank, a couple bars, and a small grocery store. It’s home to a splendid property called Camp Minglewood, where kids run around barefoot all summer, go from arts and crafts to swimming to kickball and back to their tiny bunks. The second annual Catskill Chill Music, Camping and Arts Festival returns to scenic Camp Minglewood in Hancock, NY. By popular demand this year’s festival is extended to three days following the success of last year’s two day event and takes place Friday, September 9 through Sunday, September 11. Camp Minglewood rests on a picturesque, lakeside and tree-lined 200 acres in the western Catskills and is just 140 miles from New York City.
