Offering a most wonderful setting in a most sacred spot, Skull & Roses provides the perfect opportunity to allow our appreciation to soar. I sense the familiar thrill rise within me as I digest this year's lineup— Billy & the Kids, Oteil & Friends, Jeff Chimenti, Steve Kimock, and George Porter Jr.

Billy Strings has announced a four-date, Michigan-wide mini tour with his father, guitarist Terry Barber. Barber was hugely instrumental in forming Billy’s passion for traditional bluegrass. Whether sitting and picking around a campfire, listening to vinyl records together, or teaching young Billy a lick or two, Barber sparked a massive passion, and what would eventually become a way of life, for Billy Strings.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, 1/23 and fans can expect these shows to sell out fast.

Can you call Billy Strings a newcomer? Maybe not anymore, seeing as how the twenty-something-year-old virtuoso bluegrass guitarist, along with his band of three other members, is now known for selling out large venues around the country. And yet, the word newcomer feels right in the context of making important notches.

WinterWonderGrass 2020 is on the horizon and the festival is excited to share the official daily schedule for their California edition, taking place March 27th - 29th in Squaw Valley, CA. With the recent announcement that Billy Strings is named International Bluegrass Association’s Guitar Player of the Year, WinterWonderGrass California is excited to present not one, but two headlining sets from the rising star.

Billy Strings has been hailed as the future of bluegrass, transcending tradition and genre with his high velocity, flat-picking guitar technique and intense, confessional songwriting. HOME, Strings’ remarkable second studio album, is undoubtedly the Michigan-born, Nashville-based artist’s bravest excursion thus far, completely rewiring bluegrass with elements of punk, country, folk rock, and genuine psychedelic exploration to fashion something altogether his own.

Today, Bonnaroo reveals the initial lineup for the 19th annual edition of the internationally acclaimed four-day multi-stage camping festival set to take place June 11 – 14 at Great Stage Park, the spectacular 700-acre farm and event space located just 60 miles southeast of Nashville in Manchester, TN.
