A guitar played on stage by Dead & Company’s Bobby Weir has attracted a monumental bid of $250,000 in a charity auction being conducted throughout the band’s current summer tour.

As Dead & Company prepare to embark on their annual Summer Tour starting on June 11th at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, the non-profit organization HeadCount unveiled a new set of customized guitars that will be auctioned for charity at each concert. AJ Masthay, a contemporary artist who is extremely popular with Grateful Dead poster collectors, designed artwork on D’Angelico guitars that will be auctioned on the tour this summer, raising money for Dead Family Charities.

With a love for the Grateful Dead and impressive body of photography work that has continued for almost 50 years, Bob Minkin’s new coffee-table book, “Just Bobby,” is a definitive comprehensive compendium of Bob Weir imagery.

In celebration of his long-awaited debut album, Single Wide Dreamer, GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician Aaron Raitiere made his Grand Ole Opry debut with surprise special guests Bob Weir, The Oak Ridge Boys and Anderson East.

GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician Billy Strings performed three sold-out shows at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium this past weekend with special surprise guests Bryan Sutton (Friday), Bob Weir (Saturday and Sunday) and Les Claypool, Marty Stuart and Ronnie McCoury (Sunday).

“They say the Grateful Dead played here about 14 times, in the old days,” said percussionist Mickey Hart as he took the stage on May 1 at the Frost Amphitheater on the Stanford University campus.

FOG is a documentary short film directed by DreamWorks’s Michael Pedraza and written by James Mihaley with original music from Bob Weir, Joe Satriani, and Kevin De León.
