Borderland Festival has announced the addition of country guitar powerhouse Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country to the 2024 festival lineup. The four-piece act, led by Donato’s comprehensive arsenal of country, jam, and blues licks, will perform on Friday, September 13th, at the historic Knox Farm State Park—the home of all six years of Western New York’s premier music festival, Borderland.

Today, the Kitchen Dwellers & Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country announced they will join forces for a 3-night run in Denver, CO on November 14-16, 2024. The pairing will begin the weekend with two intimate evenings on Thursday and Friday at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom before Saturday’s finale at The Mission Ballroom that will also feature an opening set by locals, The Fretliners.

This week, we had the opportunity to sit down with Johnny Buck, the executive director and co-founder of Rooster Walk, to discuss the upcoming Rooster Walk 14. The festival began in 2009 as a tribute to late high school friends Edwin Penn ('the rooster') and Walker Shank. From its inception, the festival has focused on supporting a charity that grants college scholarships to deserving seniors at Martinsville High School and provides instruments and funding to enhance local school band programs.

The 2nd annual Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival takes place Saturday & Sunday, September 21-22 on the gorgeous eastern beach at Sandy Point State Park along Chesapeake Bay in Annapolis, MD. Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country was exactly that, a cosmic unfolding of unparalleled energy and skill as the Young Man’s Country paints the entire nation Cosmic. From the opening chords at the sold-out Hobart Art Theatre on 3/22/24, Donato captivated the audience. There was a loving presence alive in that room that gave us all a fabulous Friday to remember.

The Capitol Theatre, a vessel adrift in the sea of time, Port Chester, its current harbor, bore witness to the convergence of spirits old and new, as the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Grateful, under the baton of one Phil Lesh, celebrated the maestro's 84th passage around the sun.
