Fruition

Fruition is a great word.  We all love realizing the fruits of our labors and when ideas emerge from dreams into real world successes.  The band Fruition, hailing from Portland, Oregon has these good things happening with their 11 track album, Just One Of Them Nights, scheduled for release July 30th.  Starting as a collection of street musicians, Fruition is a band of musicians that exemplifies, the sentiment, “For the sake of the song.” Fruition is:Mimi Naja: Mandolin, piano and vocals

A passionate fan base and strong environmental commitment propelled Fruition as winners of a first-ever contest designed to reward up-and-coming bands with the resources needed to go green on tour. The Portland-based group won the Brita Bottle Free Bands contest, an effort to encourage environmentally friendly touring created by water-filtration company Brita and environmental non-profit REVERB.

Stomp your feet, clap your hands, and raise a glass because Fruition are releasing Just One of Them Nights on July 30th, 2013. Featuring three-part harmonies and driving rhythms that blend raw, live energy with traditional Folk-Americana strings, Just One of Them Nights is a rockin’ collection of songs capturing life on the road, memories of past lovers and the pursuit of adventure.

Portland’s Fruition stopped into Shine for a memorable night of strings and songs Friday night, boasting a Naropa vibe and an audience clutching craft brews and camaraderie.

Fresh on the heels of a sold out show at Portland, Oregon’s Star Theatre, Fruition are poised to embark on a spring tour across the Northern half of the US. Their 22-date trek includes select shows opening for Greensky Bluegrass and ALO as well as a festival appearance at Some Kind of Jam 8.

Saturday saw some true veteran acts of NedFest returning for the 14th year. San Francisco jam-band New Monsoon returned to Colorado after an extended hiatus from national touring (people get married, have kids, you know?) I used to see New Monsoon a few times a year in Colorado back in the mid 2000s.

The 14th annual NedFest - returning August 24-26, 2012 to the Jeff Guercio Memorial Ballfield on the banks of Barker Reservoir in the beautiful high-country town of Nederland, Colorado - is proud to officially announce its daily scheulde along with single-day ticketing and camping information. Additional artists will be added to the scheulde as "tweeners," which will play in between the main acts, at a later date.
