The opening weekend of "Jerry Garcia: A Bluegrass Journey" Exhibition at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum launches with an immersive experience of exhibition tours, live music, historic panel discussions, and more to celebrate the bluegrass career of music icon Jerry Garcia. The exhibition explores Garcia's early years as a banjo player, his deep connection to bluegrass, the influence it had on his legendary career, and will run for two years.

The Bay Area was awash with live music during the final days of 2023. During the week leading up to and including New Year’s Eve, live music fans in the region could choose The String Cheese Incident, LCD Soundsystem, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Les Claypool’s Bastard Jazz, Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew’s “Remain in Light” Talking Heads tribute, Charlie Musselwhite, and Jerry’s Middle Finger, among others. And of course, some folks stayed home to stream Phish.

WOW, what a lineup of incredible musical talent the Mighty Mishawaka Amphitheatre presented Friday night at the Poudre Canyon venue. Vince Herman is out to have some fun. 33 years after founding Leftover Salmon, Vince released an album of his own and hit the road to play a batch of songs developed in his new Nashville home. It’s a bit of a departure from the “Salmon sound” as he digs into his idea of what country music is. There’s some bluegrass and Cajun influences and honky tonk ballads all piled atop great players taking the tunes for a ride.

Grateful Web is thrilled to announce that legendary bluegrass ensemble Leftover Salmon, featuring Bluegrass luminary Peter Rowan, will perform a two-night extravaganza at the iconic Boulder Theater on Friday, November 24, and Saturday, November 25, 2023. This event promises to be a feast of melodious mastery, with very special guests Banshee Tree on the 24th and Sicard Hollow on the 25th adding their unique blends to the mix.

On the third single from their upcoming record GRASS ROOTS, Leftover Salmon collaborated with Oliver Wood (The Wood Brothers) to deliver a high octane version of the Link Wray classic "Fire and Brimstone".
