Maryland’s Merriweather Post Pavilion is surrounded by trees. The stage itself has exposed wood, helping the venue to visually blend in with its’ surroundings, if not aurally.
Furthur played this past weekend at MCU Park in Brooklyn New York, home to the Brooklyn Cyclones and just adjacent to one of the most famous amusement parks in the world, Coney Island. Growing up 10 minutes from NYC I felt almost embarrassed to admit I have never been to Coney Island before.

The unique sound of meniskus is hard to classify. They have been labeled as Latin, European, House, Trance Rock, but none of these really pinpoint what their music sounds like. At times you can hear a mystic Middle Eastern influence, at other times hints of Ukrainian Punk and ancient ancestral harmonies. The only way to really understand is to see them perform live.
