In the heart of Burlington's vibrant music scene, a memorable evening in December 2018 at Nectar’s witnessed the convergence of three musical virtuosos: Russ Lawton, Scott Metzger, and Ray Paczkowski. This serendipitous gathering birthed LaMP, a trio whose name cleverly combines the initials of these talented artists. Their upcoming performance at Fox Theatre on Friday, March 22, 2024, marks another milestone in their extraordinary journey.
Under the mystical glow of the Griffith Observatory, the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles transformed into a haven of psychedelic wonder on the night of October 14th, as Joe Russo's Almost Dead took the stage. This iconic venue, with its amphitheater-like seating, ensured that every note reached the ears of eager fans, turning the evening into an enchanting journey through the Grateful Dead's timeless catalog.
Beloved Brooklyn-guitar player, Scott Metzger and his band Wolf! are scheduled to headline Freaks Ball XXI at the Bell House in Gowanus, Brooklyn on September 22. Opening the show are the Brass Queens, an all-female brass band that delivers their take on the sounds of New Orleans funk and soul. The nine-piece ensemble was recently presented with the Rider’s Choice Award for favorite subway station performers by Governor Kathy Hochul.

One of the greatest venues in Manhattan is the seasonal Pier 17 Rooftop. Located on the water in the Financial District, this venue boasts stunning views of Midtown behind the stage. Seeing one of your favorite bands there is truly special, and that was certainly the case for New York City's own Joe Russo's Almost Dead. This all-star quintet and Grateful Dead cover band delivered two incredible sets before Mother Nature intervened.
It was a family affair at the Westville Music Bowl in New Haven, CT for Joe Russo's Almost Dead on May 13, 2023, as the daughters of both Joe Russo and Marco Benevento joined the band on stage during this late spring, pre-Mother's Day event.

Ten year anniversaries are certainly something to celebrate, and that is exactly what Joe Russo's Almost Dead did this past weekend with a four night run of shows in the New York City metro region. The performances were at the Brooklyn Bowl for the first night and the Capitol Theatre for the rest.
Today, Scott Metzger shares a new track, “The Dark Triad.” The song was originally recorded during the sessions that led to the Brooklyn-based guitarist’s solo acoustic album, Too Close To Reason, that was issued via Royal Potato Family earlier this year. Metzger felt the recording didn’t work within the 12-track collection’s sequence, but he loved the performance and ultimately decided to release it as a stand-alone single.
