Collaborations including Bob Weir joining Lukas Nelson for an unforgettable version of Willie Nelson’s “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain”; an unamplified, in-the-dark, Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz/Elliott Peck-led version of Blind Faith’s “Can’t Find My Way Home” during a power outage; and a unique closing musical sequence highlighted the eight annual benefit on November 23 for Music Heals International (MHI).

Internationally renowned Northern California music venue Sweetwater Music Hall today announces a five show residency in welcoming back Americana roots singer-songwriter Jackie Greene (former member of the iconic Black Crowes) beginning on December 16, 2021.

The Well Known Strangers will continue to entertain live music fans with their brand of California Country Soul with newly-added summertime and autumn shows throughout the Bay Area and beyond.

Internationally renowned CA music venue Sweetwater Music Hall is set to reopen their doors after COVID shut them in 2020. The reopening also signals the relaunch of the iconic venue featuring the new restaurant, The Rock & Rye and improvements to seating, sound and other aspects as well as an updated website in Summer 2021 after being closed for over a year.

In 2015, Matt Jaffe was burdened with indecision between his education and a career in music. While the worlds coexisted for years, the time had come for Matt to follow his dream, embarking on tours around the country. While in the Northeast, Matt came down with a virus, and after medical malpractice, developed epilepsy. Fast forward four years, and Matt has a seizure onstage that ravages his longtime guitar. The guitar has been repaired, but the battle with epilepsy is ongoing.

Ismay is celebrating the release of Songs of Sonoma Mountain, their first full-length album, at Sweetwater on Sunday, March 29. In an evening of indie folk music rooted in nature and reflective of the freedom of the outdoors, the Ismay album and podcast release party will open with special guests Kelly McFarling and Erisy Watt. Doors open at 6:00pm; the show begins at 7:00pm.

New York-based bandleader and genre-defying guitarist Wayne Krantz is keeping busier than ever entering the 2020s. Many are familiar with Krantz’s work as a powerhouse ace sideman for decades alongside legends such as Bill Frisell, Billy Cobham, Steely Dan, and Michael Brecker, but it’s as bandleader where Krantz’s inimitable approach is best felt. Known for his improvisational approach that feels like metal at times and Slowhand blues at others, Krantz released his very first non-improvisational work in January on Abstract Logix.

Expect plenty of picking-and-grinning when music-loving friends and family join forces for the Hellman Winter Stomp at Sweetwater Music Hall on Sunday, February 23. The evening of American roots music will feature musical members of the Hellman family along with a host of special guest musicians, a deliciously prepared buffet from the Sweetwater café and lots of merriment.

The Bay Area's own legendary rock band The Mother Hips return with their special annual autumn treat for North Bay audiences with a two-night Halloween run at Sweetwater Music Hall featuring a full-band acoustic show on Wednesday, October 30 and Rock 'n Roll Halloween Bash on Thursday, October 31, 2019.

The Electric Waste Band, featuring NBA legend Bill Walton on percussion, will be joined by special guests Jeff Chimenti on keyboards and Dave Ellis on sax for an extraordinary evening of spectacular Grateful Dead music on August 29, 2019 at the epically magnificent and historic Sweetwater Music Hall in downtown Mill Valley, California.
