The Wiltern
In the three decades since their formation, Gov’t Mule has established themselves as a pillar of jam band music. Originally an offshoot of the early-90s lineup of the Allman Brothers Band, Mule quickly became a force in their own right, and they brought their unique brand of jammy, southern blues-rock to a packed Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles on February 15th.
Patti Smith’s legacy as a singer-songwriter and musician is unprecedented. The female rock songstress played a significant role in the ‘70s punk movement and had rubbed elbows with the greats, such as the Ramones, Suicide, Television, and the Heartbreakers. And in terms of longevity, Patti Smith’s career outplayed and outlived most of her peers from the era. With more than five decades of music career behind her, Smith is still going strong. The rocker continues to tour the world alongside her band.

Los Angeles Indie rock group Silversun Pickups played a dynamic show to a sold-out house at LA’s Wiltern Theatre in a performance that reflected their 20 years of experience. The energy was electric as the house packed full of a community of those who had been devoted to the band for years, even Eliza Klatt, lead singer of opening band Eliza & The Delusionals admitted during her set that she remembers buying Silversun Pickups’ albums in High School.

The Celebrating David Bowie concert tour made a stop in downtown Los Angeles, February 28 at the historic Wiltern Theater. The show features a core band of veteran rockers many of who performed and recorded over the years with David Bowie. The 2018 tour, which is in the middle of its run, offers a unique concert at every city it visits, by employing famous pop singers who live nearby.

Umphrey’s McGee concluded their 2016 Winter West Coast Tour at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles on Saturday night. The tour has been highlighted by a variety of bust-outs, debuts and collaborations and this night would prove to be no different.
