After opening single ‘Violet Light’ was deemed by Rolling Stone as “built to preach the gospel of rock n’ roll,” it’s clear that The Artisanals are in good stead ahead of the release of their second studio album. Nine tracks of carefully crafted stadium-sized acoustic rock, the South Carolina four piece are ready to unveil ‘Zia’ on the 3rd September.

In celebration of tomorrow’s Summer Solstice, Consequence of Sound has unveiled “Violet Light”, the new music video from rock n’ roll missionaries The Artisanals. “Violet Light” will be officially released across all digital and streaming platforms tomorrow, Friday, June 21, and timed auspiciously to be available on a day marked with magic and illumination. Rising heartland-rockers The Artisanals have just announced dates for their 2019 North American spring tour. The quintet proudly released their debut self-titled album The Artisanals last fall and have been relentlessly touring ever since. They started off the year with a four-week tour throughout Europe, and in two weeks, they will begin their North American spring tour.

Cries of "Jesus" shouted toward The Artisanals frontman Johnny Delaware as he took the stage correctly foreshadowed the tone for the night. With a steel wire dangling from his instrument’s headstock, he left no doubt in the San Francisco crowd's mind that he was a tenured advocate of the 11-string guitar. Barefoot and grounded to the stage he stood on, he let the band tease the audience before plugging his instrument into the loudspeaker.
