The Great South Bay Music Festival – Long Islands longest running, and largest 4 day, all ages Music & Arts Festival, returns to the picturesque waterfront at Shorefront Park in Patchogue Village from Thursday, July 18 through Sunday, July 21st.
So, I’m breaking out my camping gear - cleaning out the tent, waterproofing it, freshening up the sleeping bag. It’s the weekend before Summer Camp Music Festival! Recently, I caught Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Twiddle on the Road to Red Rocks, and they were on fire! Twiddle is new to me. I really enjoyed the vibe going on between these two east coast bands. They both are playing Summer Camp festival on a seemingly relentless touring schedule.
Voodoo Dead continued their tradition of playing late night shows during the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, with a two-night run at Republic NOLA on Saturday, May 4th and Sunday, May 5th. Special guest Brandon "Taz” Niederauer joined the all-star band on guitar Saturday as fans enjoyed a rockin’ two-set show that kept the music going well into Sunday morning.
Coming off a 5th sold-out Caribbean sailing of Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea this past February, Joe Bonamassa makes history with Sixthman, the industry leader in festivals at sea, by selling out another cruise in the same year in The Mediterranean. A waiting list is active for fans that would like to sign up should availability open for the five-day inaugural voyage sailing August 16-21, 2019 from Barcelona, Spain, to Monte Carlo, Monaco, and Valletta, Malta.
This past Saturday, the Williamsburg area in downtown New York City returned with one of its most anticipated musical events of the year, Brooklyn Comes Alive. Across three music venues, The Brooklyn Bowl, Rough Trade, and Music Hall of Williamsburg, over fifty musicians jammed, sang, and tributed together in fifteen sets of unique, supergroup type fashion.
Local guitar virtuoso Brandon “Taz” Niederauer will pay tribute to Jimi Hendrix’s iconic album, Electric Ladyland, with special guests at Garcia’s on Saturday, March 31.
