Since 2015, Dead & Co Participation Row guitar and poster auctions have generated over $875,000 for various charities, with proceeds split between HeadCount, REVERB and a dozen "Dead Family" non-profit organizations. When including recent online raffles, the total is more than $1 million. Here are the new guitars D'Angelico designed for 2019.

Steve Kimock, guitar wizard and the man Jorma Kaukonen labeled one of the best guitarists alive, first came to notice with Zero, the legendary Marin County jam band from the ‘80s.  Then came the post-Grateful Dead Furthur tours in the ‘90s, and he currently leads Voodoo Dead among other combinations.  But for a good long while—25 years!—Steve Kimock & Friends has been his primary outlet.  It’s a hell of a band, and in September they’re going to take a short jaunt around the Northeast to celebrate.

Voodoo Dead continued their tradition of playing late night shows during the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, with a two-night run at Republic NOLA on Saturday, May 4th and Sunday, May 5th. Special guest Brandon "Taz” Niederauer joined the all-star band on guitar Saturday as fans enjoyed a rockin’ two-set show that kept the music going well into Sunday morning.

The Golden Gate Wingmen launched their east coast leg of Spring Tour 2019 this week.

It’s not often that venerable guitarist, composer, and bandleader Steve Kimock appeases his hugely loyal fanbase by giving into song requests. Not that Steve overlooks the folks who’ve gone to every damn show since the days of his heralded archetypal band Zero, but for the veteran artist, music is ever-evolving and never about looking backward or forwards.

Dead & Company and Playing in the Sand promoter CID Entertainment donated $75,000 to various local charities in Mexico.

Want to come see Dead & Company in Mexico? Just donate $10 or more to Headcount, REVERB, and other Dead Family Orgs, and you could win a trip to Mexico to see the band at the sold-out "Playing In the Sand" Experience! AND if you donate in the next 24 hours, you’ll also be entered to win a James Perse surfboard signed by the band!

VOODOO DEAD is coming to Colorado for the first time in November including a show at The Fox Theatre in Boulder November 11th. The powerhouse line-up features Steve Kimock with Oteil Burbridge, Jeff Chimenti & John Kimock.
