The Revivalists

Friday, June 8th was the first full day of Bonnaroo 2018. While hardcore EDM fans were just beginning to take a nap in the hot morning sunshine, early bird music fans were waking up to a full day of activities. Centeroo exploded with life expanding massively with the opening of the main stage area.

“Religion aside, a revival is all about the tangible electricity that can only be created when enough like minds are crammed under a single roof for a singular purpose. It’s a spiritual spectacle, a carnival of the divine, a whole greater than the sum of its parts.”

Chicago’s seventh annual North Coast Musical Festival satisfied thousands of EDM mavens over this sunny Labor Day Weekend, but headliners The Revivalists also rocked their New Orleans influenced sound to a huge crowd.

The inaugural Music on the Mesa Music Festival opened onto a glorious Taos NM day. Deep blue skies and stunning views of the Sangre de Christo peaks to the side of the main stage added to the spirit of this festival. On site at the Taos Mesa Brewing Company, emcee Don Richmond of The Rifters gently directed festivalgoers to three stages of amazing Americana bands.

Road-warriors The Revivalists are proud to announce another round of tour dates through the end of the year, including a repeat appearance at Voodoo Music + Arts Festival in their Big Easy home-turf and New Years Eve at the iconic Georgia Theatre in Athens. Additional new dates also include November performances at Old Rock House in St.

While one could marvel at the amount of choices in music festival concepts that now exist, one effortlessly rules over them all. Last year David Frey and Peter Shapiro took their extensive collective promotion experience in creating the ultimate festival concept. A festival where the main driving force is the necessity of collaboration. From there build the festival with the most top of the line (and no doubt expensive for promoters) stage setup, sound equipment, vendor variety, local food proprietors, extensive craft beer selection.

In the big scheme of things, The Revivalists are still a relatively new band.  They’ve been together 7 years, which in dog years is only 1, but I’ll be damned if they don’t have as many die-hard, cult-status fans as The Rolling Stones.  The venue was packed even before the opener, and the minute These Mad Dogs of Glory had cleared the stage after their spectacular performance, the air was buzzing with feverish anticipation.

Real musicians make their home anywhere, including the cramped backstage area at one of Austin’s best music venues, The Parish.  Over cups of instant coffee, Grateful Web’s Caitlin St. Pierre sat down with The Revivalists, who are not strangers to life on the road.

The electrifying outfit that released the acclaimed Mardi Gras inspired album Carnivale Electricos are back with a fresh new single “Dolla Diva.” The song is available now on iTunes, Spotify, Rdio and
