The String Cheese Incident

The Grateful Web was on-hand at last night's Emmitt Nershi Band show at the Boulder Theater.   We have some pictures and videos clips from the show.  Thanks to the folks at the Theater for their warm hospitality.

Enjoy,

Last weekend, Keller Williams played a double dose of his unique one-man-band music to us lucky Colorado residents, with a solo show at the Fox Theatre in Boulder on Friday, followed by a night with the Yonder Mountain String Band at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison on Saturday.  Better yet, the Friday night show was "An

Shot in high definition, Virtual Venues Network presents a life size and on-stage premiere screening of The String Cheese Incident's final two performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on August 11th & 12th, 2007. On a "virtual tour" to theatres and colleges all summer long, The String Cheese Incident - Hi-Def from Red Rocks brings SCI fans together to celebrate the energy and magic of The String Cheese Incident in hometown venues everywhere.

One wonders how the members of an elite band can go from playing sold out amphitheaters to nearly empty bars.  Almost one year into the hiatus the artists who comprise the well-known Colorado jam-band The String Cheese Incident have all busied themselves with numerous side projects and guest appearances across the music scene.

The sixth annual 10,000 Lakes Festival (10KLF) held July 23-26 at the Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes, MN returns as the Midwest's premiere camping and music destination event with an additional round of artist confirmations.  Campgrounds are filling quickly based on the excitement of the festival's diverse selection of already announced artists.  10KLF 2008 will also feature performances from:

Festival season!  I love it, and it is almost upon us.  After viewing the initial lineups for some of the big music festivals I couldn't help but notice the large number of indie rock bands that are sneaking their way into what are usually very jam-heavy celebrations.

Drew Emmitt (Leftover Salmon) & Billy Nershi (String Cheese Incident) teamed up last night to play a show at the Boulder Theater.  Grateful Web was on-hand to snap some photos.  There will be some changes to the pictures, as unfortunately I uploaded them last night without changing all vertical pictures to be right side up, so my apologies...

Hey kids! Sorry this review is so late, but life always gets in the way once you return from a fest huh? Anyway, I moved to another state so that was a bit disruptive, then I got almost entirely finished with this little piece here, and the house got struck by lightning! And wouldn't it just figure that the two things that got smoked were some files I had open on another computer (including this review) and my beloved stereo! Heartbreak all around. I digress. Hope everyone had a great summer and are finding some cool musical events for the upcoming lovely fall weather.

As the saying goes, breaking up is hard to do.  However the end of the first chapter of the String Cheese Incident might have been the most amicable amongst any artists in recent musical history.  The members of the band have decided to part ways indefinitely in order to pursue other artistic interests and frankly back away fr

In the beginning of June of every year, most musicians and music lovers know that the greatest festival of all time takes place in that small town in Tennessee called Manchester that has become famous for this unique and prodigious extravaganza. This was my fifth time out of its six year existence that I have made the pilgrimage to this Mecca for music. It is never without struggle, conflict, or a challenge that one achieves complete bliss or fulfillment.
