TAUK

Howling Wolves Present has added two dynamic bands to the 2015 Purple Hatter’s Ball line-up – the heavy rock instrumental fusion of TAUK, and the soul funk of Austin, Texas’s Mingo Fishtrap.

This Saturday, February 7 music fans in Western North Carolina will be treated to a unique event at the Asheville Music Hall. Following the evening’s performance by Umphrey’s McGee at the local arena, all interested fans can continue to celebrate late night by joining Umphrey’s guitarist Jake Cinninger and keyboardist Joel Cummins, the entire band of Tauk and very special guests who cannot be announced yet.

Heavy instrumental rock fusion 4-piece TAUK is excited to announce that they will be joining Brooklyn-based funksters Turkuaz for their first annual New Year's Eve Extravanganza: The Ball Drop. From the beginnings of the large scale festival, dating back to gargantuan events such as the 1969 Woodstock Music & Arts Festival or the Watkins Glen Summer Jam of 1973, it was apparent that hosting tens of thousands and creating a safe environment with proper amenities and resources was a challenge that needed some trial and error to perfect. Over the years music and the way we listen to it has come a long way. And so have the festival concepts that we enjoy contemporary.

The heavy NYC dirty funk 4-piece TAUK release the first details of their new album today. The 10-track full-length sophomore album entitled Collisions will be released July 22nd and features the band's signature sound - intensely melodic instrumental rock.

The heavy NYC dirty funk 4-piece TAUK is hitting the festival scene hard this summer with their unique blend of experimental melodic prog rock and sexy grooves.

So many legendary touring acts continue to play and perform on the fortune of their loyal fans coming to see their shows. Stalwarts of the scene know that getting on the road and playing as often as possible is the lifeblood of continuity. Year after year, summer after summer, fans travel to see Phish, Widespread Panic, whatever incarnation of the Dead, and on and on. It’s refreshing when great lesser-worshiped acts get their chance to build a fan base, especially with the support of old mainstay bands.

The prog/rock quartet TAUK announces today they will support Karl Denson's Tiny Universe on select East Coast dates, from January 28th - February 1st.
