On Monday, multi-instrumentalist Mihali released an acoustic rendition of his original track “Empty Overflow,” recorded live in Miami, Florida for Sugarshack Sessions. The seven-minute performance showcases Mihali’s instrumental prowess, as he beatboxes and layers guitar, drums, bass and vocals to create a robust reggae jam. “Empty Overflow” appears on Mihali’s new album, “Breathe and Let Go,” released Friday, February 28th. The eleven-track record, produced by 2x Grammy Award winner Eric Krasno, features music written over the past decade and includes contributions from Matisyahu, Citizen Cope, G. Love and Special Sauce, Nahko and Trevor Hall.
This spring, Mihali will embark on an eight-date international tour, featuring an inaugural visit to London and stops throughout the US. With the exception of a solo acoustic show in London, Mihali will perform with his newly established live band. Domestic support will come from 16-year-old guitar virtuoso Brandon “Taz” Niederauer.
