In response to the devastating impacts of Hurricane Helene, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong is making adjustments to their Halloween run and launching efforts to support affected communities in the Carolinas and beyond. In addition, PPPP announced their Halloween theme for 2024, “Jimi Shelter,” which will see the band blend the iconic music of guitar legend Jimi Hendrix with the timeless hits of rock and roll pioneers, The Rolling Stones. Fans can expect a unique and electrifying musical experience featuring costumes, musical mashups and even more surprises paying homage to these legendary artists.
Pigeons Playing Ping Pong’s four-show Halloween run kicks off on October 31 at The Vogue Theatre in Indianapolis, IN and November 1 at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, TN. Their show on November 2 at The Orange Peel in Asheville, NC has been moved to The Signal in Chattanooga, TN, with proceeds supporting disaster relief nonprofit BeLoved Asheville. Their “Jimi Shelter” Halloween run concludes on November 3 at Raleigh, NC’s historic Lincoln Theatre, after which the band will play a string of shows in Vermont and Upstate New York. Fans who purchased tickets for the originally scheduled Asheville show will receive refunds at their original point of purchase.
Additionally, the funky foursome launched a benefit auction yesterday focused on supporting Asheville's beloved venue Salvage Station. All proceeds from the auction will directly benefit Salvage Station non-owner team members whose livelihood is now at stake following the storm.
