Record Store Day has worked hard over its 16 year tenure to support some of the most impactful charities and social initiatives on radar. Today,  in conjunction with Marshall Headphones & Speakers, Record Store Day announces a donation to Todd Rundgren’s Spirit of Harmony Foundation, a nonprofit whose mission is to emphasize the moral imperative of music education.

The longtime friends have teamed up for the See It All American Tour to attempt to set the Official World Record for fastest time to play a concert in each of the 50 states, which is currently 50 in 50 days set in 2003.

This May, Garcia's – The Capitol Theatre’s "venue within the venue” created in partnership with Jerry Garcia’s family – will celebrate its ten year anniversary with a string of live performances by local artists and nationally touring acts across the musical spectrum.

Today, the Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame, an initiative of the Boch Center in Boston, announced the lineup for the inaugural WasFest, a unique music experience at the Wang and Shubert Theatres. Curated and hosted by musician, legendary producer, and President of Blue Note Records Don Was, the festival will take place June 23-25 and feature some of Was’s longtime collaborators and friends performing unique sets that fans won’t see anywhere else. WasFest is presented by the Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame and the Boch Center.
