Today, North Carolina-based alternative rock powerhouse Big Something presents their newest single "Clouds” with special guest Andy Frasco. The release is the third installment from the band’s highly anticipated forthcoming studio album, Headspace, arriving November 17th via Truth Serum Records.

Renowned for their unique fusion of rock, pop, funk, jazz, and electronic sounds, Big Something’s nearly fifteen-year journey has been defined by exceptional creativity, unwavering commitment, and a passion for artistic collaboration. On "Clouds,” the band collaborated for the first time with their good friend Andy Frasco, who helped co-write the song and directed the music video.  The song lyrics intertwine storytelling and metaphor to shed light on the struggle presented by addiction and the decision to rejoin reality or surrender to the clouds.

Big Something’s Nick MacDaniels explains, “I went to write with Andy in Denver and played him a rough recording of the instrumental. It didn’t have any lyrics yet, so he was helping me think of ideas. We landed on the thought of ‘living in the clouds’ as a metaphor for addiction. And the character in the song is a close friend who may never come back down.”

Frasco slides into the director’s chair with the Forrest Gump-inspired "Clouds" music video filmed in Lexington NC. Fresh off the release of his new album, L’Optimist, Frasco is renowned for his high octane live performances, powerful lyricism, and one-in-a-million personality that shines on his acclaimed “World Saving Podcast.”

Big Something’s forthcoming 12-track album Headspace was recorded at the legendary Pachyderm Recording Studios—the birthplace of Nirvana’s In Utero. Accompanied by GRAMMY® Award-nominated longtime producer John Custer, the band immersed themselves in the project, living together in a serene guest house tucked into nature.

As they gear up for their national "Headspace Tour," Big Something remains committed to supporting organizations and nonprofits working to aid those struggling with mental health, addiction, incarceration, and more.

Big Something recently ignited the stage at The United States Disc Golf Championship in Rock Hill, SC, and they are currently preparing for a massive halloween show, “Big Something’s Haunted Mansion” (10/28) at Winston-Salem, NC’s Millenium Center.

Fans can catch the band performing “Clouds” live during their nationwide "Headspace Tour," commencing in December 2023. The massive tour includes a momentous New Year's run (December 29-31, 2023), at Raleigh's Lincoln Theatre, and stops in Colorado (March 6-9, 2024), California (March 19-23, 2024) and the Midwest (April 2024).
