After refining their sound through numerous performances across Colorado and the Midwest, High Lonesome is proud to announce the release of their self-titled debut album. The album will be available for download on November 1 at www.HighLonesomeNewgrass.com/music, followed by CD and limited vinyl releases on November 2.

Veteran Colorado bluegrass journalist John Lehndorff praised the album, stating: “On its outstanding self-titled debut, Colorado’s High Lonesome band delivers an ear-grabbing update on modern bluegrass and Americana full of heart and hot licks. The album’s first single, ‘Old Familiar Song,’ sounds like an undiscovered classic.”

Produced by dobroist Dylan Kober, the album showcases the talents of guitarist and singer Chuck Sitero, vocalist and fiddler Neva Wilder, and mandolin player and singer Josh Bergmann. High Lonesome brings a fresh perspective to the bluegrass genre, blending traditional elements with contemporary flair.

As Lehndorff noted, “High Lonesome is the latest breath of fresh music to spring from Colorado’s legendary bluegrass jam scene.”

The first single, “Old Familiar Song,” written by Louisa Branscomb (known for “Steel Rails”), will be available on all streaming platforms on October 18. Fans can pre-save the single here.
