Independent artist Holy Roller Baby, the rock n' roll brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Jared Mullins, today releases their brand new LP Smile Like Heaven. Along with the album, Holy Roller Baby also releases their video for the first track from the record, “Ant Hills.”

Today, Jerry Phillips, the son of Sam Phillips (producer, disc jockey, and founder of the legendary studio and record label Sun Records), released his debut album For The Universe through Omnivore Recordings. For many of us, the stories of Sun Records are legend, but for Jerry, they were his family. As a child, he was surrounded by the stars who made the music that became the foundation of rock & roll; Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins. While we may listen to rock and roll music, Jerry was baptized in it.

UK-based singer-songwriter duo Kay Iris, comprised of Kayleigh Ann and accomplished instrumentalist Matt Patmore, are thrilled to announce the release of their newest single, Last To Be Sung. Following in the footsteps of previous releases such as A Tale Of Fate and Dead Man Walking, this latest offering will be available on Friday, September 20, 2024.

A long-awaited reissue of Bob Neuwirth’s self-titled debut album is set for CD and vinyl release on September 27, 2024 in conjunction with its 50th anniversary. Neuwirth, known for his multifaceted six-decade career, has been described as “the best pure songwriter of any of us” by T Bone Burnett and “a shakespearean jester who’s wiser than all the rest” by Kris Kristofferson.

“Part of the reason why we gravitated towards Americana and country music was that the tradition was so full of complicated characters, and storytelling,’ says Grammy- and Tony-Winner Michael Cerveris, who along with Kimberly Kaye, fronts Loose Cattle, a band who have been part of New Orleans, Louisiana’s uniquely diverse and eclectic roots music scene for over a decade.
