Boulder Theater

eTown presented another amazing show at the Boulder Theater on Valentine’s day, saving me from the alternative, a romantic home cooked meal (aka cabbage and salmon quiche- my boyfriends favorite) Relieved and excited, I rolled into the theater around 7 and could hear Martin Sexton warming the crowed up already.

I left the Boulder Theater with both ears ringing thoroughly and my head in a satiated state of buzz, and in fact I was bone sober (as far as intoxicants are concerned).

My first interaction with a live music concert was in 1984 at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, where I saw the Victory tour as a young kid. I still remember it vividly to this day. My family and I had to park so far away from the stadium because it was so crowded, and we hiked it for several miles to get there. Once there, I remember the electric that I felt that night.

The first night started out surprisingly quiet around the Boulder Theater, although the crowd packed in quickly after the opener.

When a renowned musician rolls through a music-oriented town such as Boulder, CO, area musicians will take notice. That’s exactly what happened when the Stanton Moore Trio made a stop at the beautiful Boulder Theater on December 2, 2010.

Hustling down the festive, wintery Pearl Street in Boulder, Colorado, I stopped into “George’s Food and Drink” for a quick beer with a long- time Leftover Salmon fan.

After driving around downtown Boulder for about 20 minutes and finally finding a parking spot eight blocks away, I hurried through the crowds toward the Boulder Theater.  The John McLaughlin concert on Saturday just happened to coincide with the city’s annual Christmas parade.

Boulder Weekly & Z2 Entertainment are proud to present Acoustic Africa ft. Habib Koite, Oliver Mtukudzi & Afel Bocoum at the Boulder Theater on Wednesday, March 16th, 2011.

Back in 2005, Denver's, Polytoxic, wanted to put on a show that could showcase all the great local musicians they had been playing with for the past few years.  They decided to re-enact The Band's "The Last Waltz", a concert film by Martin Scorsese from 1978 of The Band's last performance that included all of that era's greatest musicians - Eric Clapton, Dr John, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, etc.  The show was held at Dulcinea's in Denver's Capitol Hill area on May 25, 2005, and Polytoxic planned on it being a fun little show that wo
