On the heels of a four-night Michigan run to ring in the New Year, Greensky Bluegrass has announced the support acts for their upcoming 2024 Winter Tour. On select dates the band will welcome Duane Betts & Palmetto Motel, Melt, Molly Tuttle (solo), The High Hawks, and Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country.

Northlands Music & Arts Festival is thrilled to announce the lineup for the 2024 edition of the highly-anticipated summer event. Taking place June 14-15, 2024 in the rolling hills of Swanzey, NH, the third annual festival promises to be yet another unforgettable musical experience.

Greensky Bluegrass has announced the dates for their 2024 Winter Tour. Winter Tour will kick off on January 11 in Jacksonville, FL and includes shows at Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway, two nights at Washington D.C.’s The Anthem, Chicago’s The Salt Shed, and two nights at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium among many others. The band’s Fall Tour kicks off this Wednesday at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe in Stateline, NV.

I just returned from a Musical Sojourn in Porto, Portugal, a weeklong musical experience featuring ALO’s Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, Natalie Cressman and Jennifer Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band and multiple other projects), Nikki Bluhm, members of Greensky Bluegrass, Fruition and Railroad Earth, and many other artists from the extended jam and bluegrass world. This was a unique and intimate event with six days and nights of musical tourism in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities. (The entire musician list is at the end of this article.)

In its second year of operation, the annual ALL IN Music & Arts Festival in Indianapolis seems to have hit its stride.

Earl Scruggs rests in a vast suburban cemetery just outside Nashville, Tennessee, beside his devoted wife and manager, among countless other memorials to the departed. A short distance away, the Country Music Hall of Fame displays his banjo alongside the instruments of his bluegrass peers, Bill Monroe and Lester Flatt. While Scruggs might not have single-handedly birthed bluegrass, he undeniably propelled it to prominence with his groundbreaking three-finger playing style, relentless touring, and fusion of bluegrass with rock and pop.

Greensky Bluegrass is thrilled to announce their 4-show 2023 New Year’s Eve run.  This year the band will be making stops throughout Michigan kicking off on Dec 28 in Saginaw, Dec 29 in Detroit, and two nights in Kalamazoo.

The second annual Earl Scruggs Music Festival is right around the corner on Labor Day weekend, and I had the opportunity to chat this week with festival producer Claire Armbruster to get a preview of what they have planned for all of us this year.

Greensky Bluegrass has announced the dates for their 2023 fall tour. Fall tour will kick off on October 6 in Birmingham, AL and will continue through mid-November featuring special guests The Infamous Stringdusters and Lindsay Lou on select dates. Ahead of their fall tour, the band will make their return to Colorado’s Front Range for two shows each at the Dillon Amphitheater and Red Rocks Amphitheatre in September in addition to several shows throughout the Western US and East Coast this summer.

Greensky Bluegrass are thrilled to share “Get Out.” “‘Get Out’ is anchored in internal reflection but also includes commentary on our society's struggle to better itself,” says Paul Hoffman (mandolin, vocals). “Recognizing patterns in our behavior doesn't always make them easy to correct.”
