On a warm September evening in Saratoga Springs, the Tedeschi Trucks Band delivered a mesmerizing performance at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC). The night, already brimming with the soulful blues-rock energy that Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi are renowned for, took an electrifying turn when a special guest joined them on stage.

Nelson Ledges Quarry Park (NLQP) was an operational rock quarry for nearly 20 years until the late 1950s when mining operations accidentally tapped into an underground freshwater spring. Much like a dinghy with a hole, NLQP quickly filled with water, making it impossible for the miners to continue their work. Operations were shuttered, and local phreaks of all sorts became the only visitors to the 250-acre hidden lake near Garrettsville, Ohio.

This remarkable collaboration took place on August 1st, 2024, coinciding with Jerry Garcia's birthday, and delivered an unforgettable experience that blended the unique sounds of both bands.

There are few music festivals with the legacy of the High Sierra Music Festival (HSMF). After more than thirty years, HSMF has truly become far more than the sum of its parts. Greensky Bluegrass have unveiled The Iceland Sessions featuring Holly Bowling out today via Thirty Tigers. The new EP was recorded at Flóki Studios in the summer of 2023, just before the band’s first-ever Icelandic run of shows at Reykjavik’s Harpa Concert Hall. “We invited some of our favorite friends and musicians to play with us, including Holly Bowling, and we set out to make memories in the twilight sun with a bunch of fans who joined us from all over the world,” recalls Paul Hoffman.

The High Sierra Music Festival, one of California's longest-running annual music festivals, is celebrating its 32nd year on July 4-7, 2024, in the golden Sierra hills of Quincy. Headliners this year include Ziggy Marley, Primus, and Greensky Bluegrass. They will be joined by a wide variety of bluegrass, jam, Americana, funk, folk, and worldbeat acts on multiple stages at the Plumas County Fairgrounds.

North Carolina’s Beech Mountain Resort has announced the return of its annual outdoor concert series this summer. The series will kick off June 8 with performances by The String Cheese Incident and The Wood Brothers; followed by an extended Party on the Mountain weekend July 19-21 with NEEDTOBREATHE, Dispatch, Greensky Bluegrass, Yola, and Maggie Rose; with Sylvan Esso and Soccer Mommy rounding out the season on August 10.
