Phil Lesh

Higher Ground is pleased to welcome Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band to Burlington's Waterfront Park as part of Lake Champlain Maritime Festival on July 26. Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 18 at 11am.

Like so many other musical endeavors that Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead has been a part of, the Terrapin Family Band grew naturally and spontaneously out of something special.

MJG Productions presents the 5th Annual Revival Music Festival at Harmony Park Music Garden in Clarks Grove, MN. The festival will take place May 26+27 with a pre-party featuring Leftover Salmon on May 25th and an Early Camping Option available May 24th.

Leftover Salmon are presenting a very special CD release show in the intimate eTown Hall theater in Boulder, CO. To be sure that all their fans can participate, they're working with Relix to host a multi-camera HD livestream of the show via Facebook. Tune in at 7:30 pm MT (that's 6:30 pm PST and 9:30pm EST) to watch the show!

“This is one the most thrilling albums the Grateful Dead ever produced, mixing portions of live recordings from the first six months of Mickey's tenure with the band, along with studio experimentations that would hint at where the Dead would go when they started recording to 16-track tape the following year. The 1971 remix, produced in order to make the album more accessible to the newer fans who were brought on board with WORKINGMAN'S DEAD and AMERICAN BEAUTY, has been the most commonly heard version for the past 45+ years.

Mood and muse, two inexplicably intertwined elements of an ethereal nature, yet their power to move both body and mind know no bounds.  Flowing throughout the in-between like gravity and wind, these forces are foundational and creative to the many worlds that arise out of the relationship of things, out of the happenings originated by togetherness; a place born betwixt seed and light, lung and tree, heart and rhythm, a place where all things come together to form each thing (each moment) throughout all size and time.  And where all things come together—so too, does mood and muse.<

As you entered the theater, you were given a postcard which had instructions for the “cue” for when to sing happy birthday to the birthday boy. Some of my fellow attendees were already wearing birthday hats and even giving them out to their friends. The theater was hoppin’, and the vibe was that of a celebration. It was a sold-out crowd (GA/LOGE/BALCONY). Of course, it really didn’t matter if you had a seat anyway when I looked around, people were standing and dancing everywhere.

The rumor mill was in full force with speculation of which special guest would accompanying Bob Weir and Phil Lesh on stop two of their mini “Duo” tour in Boston. The two Grateful Dead founding members were joined by Trey Anastasio in NY, and many expected that John Mayer would guest in Boston.

MJG Productions presents Revival Music Festival 2018 at Harmony Park on May 25-27, 2018 at Harmony Park Music Garden located in Clarks Grove, MN. Camping under the mighty oaks of Harmony Park Music Garden, located in Clarks Grove, MN, has long been considered by festival attendees, as “home.”

Founding members Phil Lesh and Bob Weir, of Grateful Dead fame, playing as a duo without a backing band for the first time together, ended their “Bobby and Phil Tour” with two, consecutive nights at the Chicago Theatre, after selling out New York’s Radio City Music Hall and Boston’s Wang Center.

Midnight North on February 10 delivered a powerful and endearing three-hour show, dubbed “Experience CSN&Y,” that included a long and powerful set of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young material. Phil Lesh and Eric Krasno guested on big chunks of the proceedings, which took place at Phil’s venerable Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, California.
