Umphrey's McGee

Marcus Rezak is a seasoned veteran at opening the gateway to galactic collaborations. He has shared the stage with the heaviest hitters on the jam scene including members of Umphrey’s McGee, moe., Lotus, STS9, and more. Couple that with the worldly talents of Frank Zappa and David Bowie band members and add the icing from the likes of Stanley Jordan and Fareed Haraquee on top of Berklee-educated cake and you have an artist with limitless possibilities. In November 2018, Rezak took his first steps as a solo artist releasing a stellar shoegaze jam-rock debut album Gateway to the Galaxy. Wanting to release a single to preface a sophomore album he called upon ‘GTTG’ collaborator Joel Cummins to do a track at Color Red Studios during this summer’s Umphrey’s McGee run at Red Rocks. From there, he filled out the session with Allen Aucoin (The Disco Biscuits) on drums and Josh Fairman (SunSquabi, Analog Son) on bass.

Prolific rockers Umphrey’s McGee are proud to announce The Woodlands Fall Music & Arts Festival, a brand new event happening in Charleston, SC, on November 8-9.

Music-fan tribes of all stripes gathered for the Independence Day weekend to luxuriate in the 29th annual High Sierra Music Festival in tiny Quincy, California, basking in the music, vibes, joy, and friendships old and new. Over the four-day celebration, among the beautiful clear-aired mountainous sky and mountains, fun oozed everywhere, from the scheduled and numerous unscheduled live performances and collaborations to the often luxurious and nicely appointed home bases set up in the campgrounds.

So, I’m breaking out my camping gear - cleaning out the tent, waterproofing it, freshening up the sleeping bag.  It’s the weekend before Summer Camp Music Festival! Recently, I caught Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Twiddle on the Road to Red Rocks, and they were on fire! Twiddle is new to me. I really enjoyed the vibe going on between these two east coast bands.  They both are playing Summer Camp festival on a seemingly relentless touring schedule.

Veteran midwestern rockers, Umphrey’s McGee returned to Eugene (Ore.) for the first time in five years and unleashed a torrent of heavy, metallic, guitar-driven jams on a packed, Friday night crowd at the McDonald Theater. Combining a taste for crunching, head-banging riffs with mind-melting prog-rock fusion, Umphrey’s are an intriguing musical complexity.

Commemorating the 15th anniversary of the fan favorite Anchor Drops, Umphrey's McGee is proud to announce Anchor Drops Redux, an expanded edition of the album and first ever vinyl pressing. The pending release, announced this morning during an interview with Ari Fink on SiriusXM's Jam On, features two distinct versions of the record, a remastered edition of the original mix and a remixed version from the original master tapes.

As an alternative to the campout festival, the inaugural 4848 Festival is offering festival lovers an evolved summer experience. Taking place July 11 - 13 atop Snowshoe Mountain in Snowshoe, WV (at 4848’ above sea level), patrons get everything a festival has to offer, while experiencing premier accommodations within the resort’s Mountain Village, complete with modern amenities atypical to a three-day summer festival.

4848 Festival performing artists include:

Greensky Bluegrass (two nights)

High Sierra Music Festival saved a lengthy list of legendary artists and burgeoning up-and-comers for their second round of lineup announcements.
